- The recommended side clearance for doors up to 4000mm wide is 90mm on each side of the opening. Doors greater than that width require a recommended minimum of 100mm side clearance on both sides.
- If an electric operator is to be fitted, the side room recommendation increases by 75mm on one side. For further information please contact our technical department.
NB: Sizes stated are ABSOLUTE MINIMUM. More clearance will allow greater ease of installation.

For doors over 3950mm wide a minimum clearance of 500mm is required between the garage ceiling and the underside of the lintel.
Clearance back into the garage (C)
The clearance must extend a minimum 460mm back from the opening for doors up to 4000mm wide and 600mm for doors over 4000mm wide.
Curtain size
- For doors up to 400mm wide the overlap each side of the opening = 25mm

Other Requirements
