Roller Shutter Door Insulation
The Axess insulation option provides a 'U' value lower than the 0.7 W/m2K indicated by building regulations. Using the proportional test area method of the CIBS guide, independent calculations by the National Physical Laboratory established a 'U' value of 0.59 W/m2K.
The 4mm thick continuous polyurethane foam layer, backed by a silver, wipe-clean polyester film is laminated to the inside of the standard Axess door.
The combination of the silver surface material and new gridded profile provides aesthetic improvement as well as reducing heat loss and improving the acoustic properties of the door. Informal tests established a reduction of 15dba (decibels) through the insulated door curtain.
The flame retardant material can be repaired if damaged and the complete option can be fitted retrospectively if required.
